Civil Designer – AutoCAD & Civil 3D Specialist

About the role

Jacobs is looking for an experienced AutoCAD Technician to join its Civil E&P team. You will create detailed technical drawings and 3‑D models for reinforced‑concrete, steel structures and earthworks, supporting the delivery of complex infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Produce accurate steel detailing drawings using AutoCAD, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
• Develop reinforced‑concrete (RC) drawings, including rebar layouts, following BS8666 and other detailing standards with CADRC software.
• Design earthworks models, generate ground profiles, and perform cut‑and‑fill and volume calculations in Civil 3D.
• Collaborate closely with engineers and multidisciplinary teams to align designs with project requirements.
• Maintain organized documentation and version control for all drawings and models.
• Stay current with CAD technology trends and continuously improve technical skills.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 5–7 years of proven experience in steel detailing, RC detailing and civil‑3D earthworks.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles and construction practices.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
