Chief of Staff – Engineering

About the role

Celonis is looking for a Chief of Staff to partner with the Senior Vice President of Engineering. Based in Bangalore, you will drive operational cadence, align cross‑functional execution, and support strategic planning for the engineering organization.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with engineering leadership to define departmental goals, track OKRs/KPIs, and allocate resources efficiently.
• Run engineering leadership meetings, set agendas, track follow‑ups, and streamline communication between product, engineering, and other business units.
• Oversee high‑priority, cross‑functional technical initiatives, removing blockers and bridging gaps between teams.
• Act as a trusted proxy for the SVP, drafting internal updates, memos, and board decks.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in engineering program management, technical operations, management consulting, or software engineering management.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for translating technical details to executive stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong organisational, project management, and interpersonal abilities, including empathy and tact.
• Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
• Strategic mindset with a drive for change, process improvement, and entrepreneurial execution.
