Chief Information Security Officer (CISO)

About the role

Snapmint, a fast‑growing fintech focused on responsible consumer credit in India, is seeking a seasoned Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to steer its cybersecurity strategy. Reporting to senior leadership, the CISO will safeguard the company’s digital assets, ensure compliance with RBI and global standards, and embed security across product development.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute Snapmint’s cybersecurity strategy and roadmap.
• Lead security governance, risk management and regulatory compliance, including RBI guidelines, ISO 27001 and PCI DSS.
• Drive cloud, infrastructure, application and data security across the organization.
• Oversee Security Operations, incident response, vulnerability management and business continuity.
• Integrate security into the SDLC through DevSecOps and secure‑by‑design practices.
• Manage third‑party security risk, audits and customer security assessments.
• Build and mentor a high‑performing security team while fostering a strong security culture.

Required profile

• 12+ years of experience in information security/cybersecurity, with at least 7 years in a leadership role.
• Hands‑on experience in an NBFC, fintech, banking or payments organization.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, able to work closely with leadership and engineering teams.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM or CCSP are preferred.
