Chef de Partie

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Chef de Partie to join our culinary team at the Ritz‑Carlton property in Pune. The role involves preparing high‑quality dishes, maintaining kitchen standards, and supporting the service team in a fast‑paced, upscale environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare special meals and substitute items according to recipes and presentation standards.
• Regulate temperatures of ovens, broilers, grills and roasters; manage thawing and storage of frozen foods.
• Ensure proper portioning, arrangement and garnish; maintain food logs and monitor food quality and quantity.
• Communicate with the Chef and service staff about menu specials, excess items and out‑of‑stock items.
• Assist in hiring, training, scheduling and evaluating kitchen staff as needed.
• Follow all safety, security and sanitation policies; report maintenance issues and complete required safety training.
• Maintain a clean, professional appearance and uphold confidentiality of proprietary information.
• Perform physical duties such as lifting up to 25 lb, standing for extended periods and reaching overhead.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of relevant culinary experience.
• Technical, trade or vocational school education in culinary arts.
• No prior supervisory experience required.
• Ability to work in a high‑pressure kitchen and adhere to quality standards.
• Physical capability to stand, walk, lift and move items as described.
