Chartered Accountant – Indirect Tax & Advisory

About the role

We are seeking a Chartered Accountant specialized in Indirect Tax to join our Bengaluru office. The role focuses on GST compliance and advisory while offering exposure to Virtual CFO and broader business advisory projects.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end GST compliance including registrations, returns, reconciliations, audits, assessments, notices, refunds and e‑invoicing.
• Review GST workings, input tax credit, reverse charge mechanism and other indirect tax matters for client assignments.
• Assist clients in responding to GST assessments, departmental notices and representation.
• Interpret tax provisions and deliver practical solutions to clients.
• Prepare and maintain documentation, working papers and meet statutory deadlines.
• Utilize technology‑enabled tax and accounting tools to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Support Virtual CFO engagements, management reporting, financial analysis and business advisory where relevant.
• Interact directly with clients and mentor junior team members.

Required profile

• Qualified Chartered Accountant with strong knowledge of GST and indirect taxation.
• Proven experience in GST compliance, audits, assessments and advisory.
• Excellent analytical, communication and client‑management abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments independently and meet deadlines.
• Commitment to professional ethics, quality and continuous learning.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP or accounting systems.
• Familiarity with technology‑driven tax tools.
