CATIA Design Engineer – Surfacing & Tooling

About the role

The company is seeking a CATIA Design Engineer to work on surfacing and tooling projects in Goa. You will create, modify and optimise 3D models and complex surfaces for automotive, aerospace or industrial components, ensuring designs meet mechanical and manufacturing requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop tooling concepts and detailed CAD drawings using CATIA.
• Create and optimise 3D models and complex surfaces.
• Validate designs against mechanical, material and manufacturing constraints.
• Review customer specifications and perform design changes.
• Maintain design documentation and support design reviews.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams to ensure quality and compliance.
• Meet project timelines and follow internal design processes.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of design and tooling methodologies.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience in CATIA surfacing and tooling design.
• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications, drawings and standards.
• Strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail and teamwork orientation.
• Good communication skills and willingness to work on‑site in Goa.

• Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Mechanical engineering knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes.
• Product design capabilities.
• Basic awareness of electrical engineering for harness/cabling projects (advantage).
