Safety & Maintenance Technician (QCC)

About the role

The QCC Safety & Maintenance Technician ensures that all production and facility equipment operate safely and efficiently. You will lead safety training, conduct audits, and support the plant’s overall safety culture.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct safety orientation for new hires and deliver ongoing safety, first‑aid/CPR, and OSHA training.
• Audit safety programs, perform daily and weekly hazard assessments, and coordinate quarterly self‑audits.
• Investigate incidents, document findings, and assist the Director during OSHA inspections.
• Maintain safety records such as the OSHA 300 log, training files, work permits, and LOTO procedures.
• Provide routine safety reports, communicate facility needs, and serve as the primary liaison for workers‑comp claims.
• Support operations through safety conference calls, committee meetings, webinars, and weekly safety topics.
• Assist managers with root‑cause analysis, corrective actions, and medical documentation for injured team members.
• Coordinate relationships with the occupational clinic and ensure compliance with leave‑of‑absence paperwork.

Required profile

• Experience delivering safety training and conducting safety audits in a production environment.
• Ability to manage incident investigations and maintain accurate safety documentation.
• Strong communication skills to interact with operations, corporate safety teams, and external clinics.
• Preferred: OSHA‑30 certification and CSP (Certified Safety Professional) credential.
