Cashier – Retail Store (Ahmedabad)

About the role

We are looking for a full‑time Cashier to join our retail client in Ahmedabad. The successful candidate will handle cash and card transactions, issue receipts and ensure accurate billing while providing courteous service to customers.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain POS terminals and cash registers.
• Process daily cash and card payments and issue receipts.
• Balance cash drawers and reconcile transactions at shift end.
• Record transactions in the billing system with attention to detail.
• Respond to customer queries related to payments.
• Coordinate with accounts or store management on any discrepancies.
• Follow company policies for cash handling and security.
• Maintain an organized work area and support smooth front‑desk operations.

Required profile

• Strong numerical accuracy and basic accounting knowledge.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in accounts or commerce is a plus.
• Ability to stand for extended periods in a fast‑paced environment.
• Prior experience in a cashier, retail, or customer‑facing finance role is preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with POS systems.
• Experience using billing software.
• Basic computer applications such as MS Excel and email.
