Cashier – Multiple Locations

About the role

The Cashier is responsible for executing all cash‑related transactions and operations at branch locations, ensuring compliance with internal and external banking guidelines. This full‑time position supports the smooth functioning of the branch by handling cash, maintaining registers, and providing courteous customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and process cheques, drafts, dividend warrants, pay orders and other instruments within authorized limits.
• Disburse cash for withdrawal requests and collect cash for deposit challans.
• Collect loan repayments according to EMI schedules and record entries in the banking system.
• Maintain inward/outward registers, petty‑cash register, assets register and submit requisition forms to the Regional Head Office.
• Perform daily cash tally, prepare end‑of‑day reports and ensure accurate vault operations jointly with the Operations Officer.
• Interact with customers, explain repayment dates, promote new products and guide them to alternate channels.
• Ensure adherence to turnaround times, regulatory compliance and bank policies for all cashier activities.

Required profile

• Full‑time availability, reporting to the Branch Operation Officer.
• Experience in cash handling and basic banking operations.
• Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy and ability to follow procedures.
• Good communication skills for customer interaction and cross‑selling.
