About the role
The Cashier position at StrayCity is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Dehradun. You will be the front‑line point of contact for customers, handling all payment transactions and ensuring a smooth checkout experience.
Key responsibilities
- Process cash, card and digital payments accurately using the POS system.
- Issue receipts, manage returns and exchanges according to company policy.
- Maintain a balanced cash drawer and reconcile the register at the end of each shift.
- Greet customers, answer basic product or service questions, and provide courteous support.
- Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Report any discrepancies or issues to management promptly.
Required profile
- Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent customer service attitude with clear communication.
- Ability to stand for long periods and work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Honesty, reliability and high integrity in handling financial transactions.
- Minimum high school diploma; prior retail or hospitality experience is a plus.
