Captain Waiter

About the role

Studio Fig is seeking a Captain Waiter to lead the dining floor in its Gurugram location. This full‑time, on‑site position involves overseeing the service team, ensuring guests receive attentive and timely service, and upholding the brand’s mindful dining standards.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests, manage reservations and table assignments.
• Take, relay, and monitor orders, coordinating closely with the kitchen and bar.
• Ensure food and beverage quality, presentation, and timely delivery.
• Train, coach, and guide service staff during shifts.
• Address guest queries or concerns promptly and professionally.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards in the service area.
• Support adherence to Studio Fig’s mindful dining and sustainability practices.
• Contribute to a positive, efficient work environment.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑service focus with a commitment to guest satisfaction.
• Solid experience in food‑service operations, including table service and order handling.
• Clear, professional communication skills for interacting with guests and team members.
• Basic understanding of cooking or food‑preparation processes to explain dishes accurately.
• Previous supervisory or lead‑waiter experience preferred.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and variable shift patterns.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
• Comfort with food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety guidelines.
• Formal hospitality or restaurant‑management training is an advantage but not mandatory.
