CAD Engineer – Air Intake & Exhaust

About the role

We are looking for a CAD Engineer specialized in air intake and exhaust systems for the gas path of automotive powertrains. The role involves creating and maintaining 3‑D models and 2‑D drawings, supporting packaging activities, and ensuring compliance with OEM standards.

Key responsibilities

• Create, update, and maintain 3D CAD models and assemblies for gas‑path components using CATIA V5 / 3DEXPERIENCE.
• Develop 2D drawings with correct GD&T, tolerances, and automotive drawing standards.
• Design air intake and exhaust systems and mountings, supporting powertrain and vehicle‑level packaging.
• Perform interference checks, clearance analysis, and mass‑properties validation.
• Implement engineering changes (ECR/ECO) across design stages from KO to SOP.
• Ensure CAD data compliance with OEM standards, best practices, and naming conventions.
• Collaborate with module leads, system engineers, and manufacturing teams.
• Support DFMEA, design reviews, prototype and vehicle build activities.
• Interface with suppliers for CAD data exchange, quality checks, and updates.
• Release CAD data via PLM systems in line with project milestones.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of experience in automotive gas‑path system design.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience with design reviews, change management, and BOM handling.
• Understanding of commodity release processes and prototype/production BOMs.

Required skills

• CATIA V5 and CATIA V6 (2D/3D) modelling.
• GD&T knowledge.
• PLM tools such as TeamCenter.
• MS Office tools: SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint.
