Cable Technician – Wireline Maintenance

About the role

The Cable Technician will ensure timely delivery and maintenance of wireline cable equipment to meet operational demands. Working within the Maintenance Base, you will drive improvements in equipment availability, maintenance efficiency and overall productivity.

Key responsibilities

• Perform wireline cable maintenance, spooling and related mechanical lifting tasks.
• Maintain assigned equipment according to the reliability‑centered maintenance program and record all actions in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Document materials, labor costs, work orders, parts usage and equipment history in the Technology Lifecycle Management (TLM) system.
• Support continuous‑improvement initiatives aimed at reducing downtime, optimizing asset utilization and lowering cost of service delivery.
• Participate in failure investigations, planned repair projects and reuse of parts.
• Adhere to TLM product line standards and competency management requirements.

Required profile

• 5–10 years of experience in mechanical or wireline cable maintenance.
• Diploma in Mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in oil‑and‑gas field environments is preferred.
