About the role
The Buyer will manage the end‑to‑end procurement process for assigned categories, ensuring technical specifications match vendor offerings and driving initial negotiations to secure optimal deals.
Key responsibilities
- Float enquiries for assigned items based on user requirements.
- Validate technical requirements against vendor specifications and flag any gaps.
- Conduct the first round of negotiations with vendors and relay outcomes to the Buying Manager.
- Place orders for finalized items and record transactions in the SAP system.
- Address internal and external audit queries related to procurement, escalating when necessary.
Required profile
- B.Tech or B.E. degree.
- 2–6 years of experience in category‑based sourcing, manufacturing, or supply management within a plant environment.
- Proven exposure to the relevant product category and procurement processes.
Required skills
- SAP procurement module.
