Buyer – CHO Projects Procurement

About the role

The Buyer for CHO Projects will oversee the end‑to‑end procurement process for equipment and services required by plant operations. This role ensures that technical specifications are accurately matched with vendor offerings, negotiates initial terms, and guarantees timely order entry and compliance with audit requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Review and verify technical requirements provided by internal users against vendor specifications, raising any gaps to the Senior Buyer or Buying Manager.
• Generate and float enquiries for assigned categories, coordinating with stakeholders to capture precise demand.
• Lead the first round of vendor negotiations, capture pricing and commercial terms, and present findings for final approval.
• Create purchase orders, record all transactions in the SAP system, and monitor order status until delivery.
• Respond promptly to internal and external audit queries related to procurement activities, escalating complex issues as needed.

Required profile

• B.Tech or BE degree in engineering or a related field.
• 2–6 years of experience in category‑based sourcing, manufacturing procurement, or supply management within a plant environment.
• Strong analytical mindset, good written and oral communication, and solid commercial acumen.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP (procurement module).
