Business Development Executive (On-site)

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Business Development Executive to join The Urban Chief in Vadodara. You will identify and engage potential clients, understand their needs and help move opportunities through our sales pipeline.

Key responsibilities

• Research and build prospect lists across targeted industries using LinkedIn, company websites and directories.
• Initiate contact with founders, CEOs, marketing heads and other decision‑makers via calls, LinkedIn, email and outbound campaigns.
• Conduct prospecting calls to uncover business challenges and qualify leads based on fit, urgency and authority.
• Schedule and support discovery calls, maintain an organised sales pipeline and ensure no qualified opportunity is missed.
• Update CRM and trackers with accurate call notes, follow‑up status and prospect information.
• Collaborate with strategy, marketing and management teams to prepare proposals, audits and presentations.
• Track weekly and monthly outreach metrics and continuously improve messaging based on prospect feedback.

Required profile

• Confident speaking with senior business owners and professionals.
• Observant, curious about businesses and marketing, and able to understand prospect needs.
• Comfortable with outbound calling, persistent follow‑ups and working towards measurable targets.
• Strong verbal and written communication, organised, detail‑oriented and able to take feedback quickly.
• Proactive, disciplined and able to work independently without constant direction.

Required skills

• Proficiency in using LinkedIn for prospecting.
• Experience with CRM systems for tracking sales activities.
