Business Development & Client Onboarding Executive

About the role

We are looking for our first dedicated Business Development hire to own the complete revenue journey – from first contact to a fully onboarded customer. This full‑stack BD role combines outbound prospecting, inbound lead qualification, live product demos, and hands‑on customer onboarding on our AI‑powered patent marketplace platform.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute structured outbound outreach sequences (LinkedIn DMs, email, WhatsApp, phone) targeting inventors, IP teams, universities, and law firms.
• Qualify, nurture, and convert inbound leads generated through the website, content, and social channels.
• Conduct live product demonstrations via video calls, explaining AI features, pricing, and legal aspects to technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Handle pricing, ROI, and legal objections in real time without deferring follow‑up.
• Guide newly subscribed customers through their first‑use milestones: patent upload, AI‑generated listing, document creation, and CRM activation.
• Collect customer feedback, objections, and feature requests and relay them directly to the founders for product iteration.

Required profile

• Motivated self‑starter ready to be the first dedicated Business Development professional in a fast‑growing AI SaaS startup.
• Strong communication skills for live demos and objection handling.
• Ability to work closely with founders and influence product decisions.
• Comfortable managing both outbound prospecting and inbound lead conversion.

Required skills

• Experience with CRM tools for activation and customer tracking.
