Store Cashier

About the role

The Store Cashier will be the primary point of contact for customers at the cash counter of a prestigious jewellery retailer. This full‑time, on‑site position involves handling daily billing, processing cash, card and digital payments, issuing receipts and maintaining accurate transaction records.

Key responsibilities

• Process sales transactions using POS and billing software, including cash, cards, UPI, wallets and net‑banking.
• Issue receipts, reconcile end‑of‑day balances and ensure proper documentation of sales.
• Assist customers with billing‑related queries, returns, exchanges and discount applications.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cash desk and safeguard cash and valuables.
• Coordinate closely with sales staff to ensure smooth checkout operations.

Required profile

• Strong numerical ability and basic accounting knowledge.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and invoice verification.
• Ability to follow standard operating procedures and maintain confidentiality.
• Willingness to work weekends and peak festive seasons as needed.
