Business Analyst – KYC Funds (Wholesale Banking)

About the role

The Business Analyst will join the Client Experience Programme, a multi‑year transformation initiative for Nomura’s wholesale banking operations. You will define, document and deliver business requirements that reshape fund client onboarding, KYC/AML processes and post‑onboarding servicing on a global scale.

Key responsibilities

• Define and document comprehensive business requirements for fund client onboarding and servicing solutions.
• Lead current‑state analysis, identify inefficiencies and design target‑state solutions to improve client experience and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with global operations, credit, legal, compliance, sales and technology teams, facilitating workshops and managing stakeholder relationships across regions.
• Support test management, coordinate UAT/SIT activities, develop test scenarios and assist with implementation planning, training and post‑implementation reviews.
• Contribute to the overall Client Experience Programme delivery, managing dependencies, reporting status and ensuring alignment with programme timelines and quality standards.

Required profile

• 5+ years of Business Analysis experience in financial services, preferably wholesale banking or asset servicing, with at least 3 years focused on fund client onboarding.
• Strong understanding of fund lifecycle operations, regulatory requirements and data‑flow controls.
• Self‑motivated, organized and able to manage multiple priorities independently while working collaboratively in a global team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with business analysis tools and techniques (process modeling, data‑flow diagrams, use cases).
• Experience using process‑modeling tools such as Visio and draw.io.
• Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for documentation and presentations.
• Familiarity with SDLC and knowledge‑management tools like Jira and Confluence.
