Branch Manager – Direct Sales (Kolkata)

About the role

The Branch Manager – Direct will lead the sales operations for our Kolkata office, driving business growth through strategic planning, market intelligence and team development. You will be responsible for delivering targets, expanding market presence and ensuring high standards of profitability and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop monthly, quarterly and annual business plans and identify short‑ and long‑term focus areas.
• Communicate targets, conduct periodic reviews and adjust plans based on market conditions and performance.
• Gather market intelligence, understand competitor offerings and devise strategies to capture untapped potential.
• Recruit, coach and develop advisors and sales talent in high‑potential areas.
• Build brand awareness and plan people capacity to meet topline goals.
• Create a pipeline of leads, monitor client visits, calculate conversion ratios and publish results.
• Lead daily huddles, knowledge‑sharing sessions and periodic training programs.
• Control costs, implement quality checks, conduct audits and take corrective actions for any malpractice.
• Ensure high persistency rates and uniform communication of sales progression across the team.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing a sales branch or similar business unit.
