Bending Operator (Press Brake/CNC)

About the role

The Bending Operator will set up and run CNC or hydraulic press brake machines to produce sheet‑metal components according to engineering drawings, production schedules and quality standards. This full‑time position is based in the production/fabrication department and reports to the Production Supervisor or Production Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Operate CNC/Hydraulic press brake and related sheet‑metal bending equipment.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints and work instructions.
• Select appropriate punches, dies and tooling for each bend.
• Set machine parameters such as bend angle, pressure, back‑gauge and stroke.
• Produce parts that meet approved drawings and customer specifications.
• Inspect first‑off and in‑process parts using measuring instruments.
• Report any machine abnormalities or production issues immediately.
• Perform routine cleaning, lubrication and preventive maintenance of machines.
• Maintain production records, machine logs and daily output reports.
• Follow 5S, safety rules and PPE requirements.
• Coordinate with Quality, Planning and Welding departments to achieve targets.
• Handle and store raw materials and finished components properly.

Required profile

• ITI/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 1–5 years of experience in sheet‑metal fabrication or press‑brake operation (freshers with technical knowledge may be considered).
