About the role

Rollwell Forge is looking for a skilled Bandsaw Operator to cut steel billets and raw materials to precise lengths for our production line. The position involves hands‑on work in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment, requiring strong attention to safety and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Set up the bandsaw machine for each production run, selecting appropriate blades and parameters.
• Cut steel billets and other metal stock to specified dimensions while maintaining tight tolerances.
• Replace blades and perform routine maintenance on the bandsaw unit.
• Monitor cutting speeds and adjust settings based on metal grades.
• Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and handle heavy materials safely.
• Identify and minimize material waste through precise cutting.

Required profile

• Minimum of 3 years experience operating a bandsaw in an industrial setting.
• Physical stamina to handle heavy metal stock and stand for extended periods.
• Strong understanding of metal grades and appropriate cutting speeds.
• Commitment to safety and quality standards.
