Backend Software Engineer – AI‑Native

About the role

Reacher, a YC‑backed AI SaaS platform for TikTok Shop brands and creators, is looking for a Backend Software Engineer to help build the operating system for creator marketing. You will work remotely from India, shaping backend services that power major brands such as Under Armour, Hanes, Logitech and Goli.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end product features: research, design, implement, test and ship.
• Define and enforce engineering architecture, code quality and testing standards across the stack.
• Mentor engineers in AI‑native development workflows and best practices.
• Collaborate directly with customers to translate requirements into polished experiences.
• Design scalable backend systems using Python, FastAPI, PostgreSQL and GCP.
• Write clean, maintainable, testable code and drive architectural decisions that maximise AI‑assisted development velocity.
• Deliver quickly in a high‑urgency environment, iterating and learning fast.

Required profile

• 2–6 years of professional full‑stack experience at a product‑first company or FAANG‑level environment.
• Proven track record of shipping meaningful end‑to‑end features or infrastructure.
• Ability to set engineering standards and make architectural decisions in an AI‑native setting.
• Resourceful, comfortable working in ambiguous situations and independently solving problems.
• Strong product intuition and willingness to push back on vague requirements.
