Backend Engineer (DotNet)

About the role

Musafir, a leading travel technology platform, is looking for a Backend Engineer with strong .NET expertise to design and build scalable micro‑services that power APIs, supplier integrations and transaction workflows for its B2B travel solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high‑performance backend services and RESTful APIs using C# and .NET Core.
• Design, implement, and evolve micro‑services following clean architecture and SOLID principles.
• Create efficient data models and queries for Microsoft SQL Server and MongoDB.
• Integrate with travel suppliers, payment gateways and enterprise APIs.
• Implement authentication, authorization, validation, logging and robust error handling.
• Collaborate with product, frontend, QA and business analysis teams to deliver end‑to‑end features.
• Optimize API performance, database access and overall service reliability.
• Investigate production incidents, perform root‑cause analysis and contribute to continuous improvement.

Required profile

• 3–6 years of professional backend development experience.
• Strong hands‑on experience with C# and .NET/.NET Core (preferably .NET 6/8).
• Proven ability to build REST APIs and micro‑services.
• Good knowledge of SQL (Microsoft SQL Server) and NoSQL (MongoDB).
• Experience with Entity Framework Core or similar ORM.
• Understanding of asynchronous programming, dependency injection and SOLID principles.
• Familiarity with API security, authentication and authorization best practices.
• Experience working with Git and modern Agile/Scrum workflows.
