Avionics Hardware Engineer

About the role

As an Avionics Hardware Engineer you will own the full electronic product lifecycle for cabin and avionics systems on Airbus aircraft programs. You will work within the Cabin Electronics team to develop high‑quality hardware that meets safety, security and efficiency requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in concept creation for new electronic equipment and provide inputs to specifications and planning.
• Organise and review development activities in line with aviation certification processes.
• Generate all required design data for electronic products.
• Design and prototype digital and analog cabin/systems electronics, including initial operation and verification.
• Prepare and evaluate supplier selection documents and monitor subcontractor performance.
• Conduct functional and environmental qualification testing (EMC, vibration, temperature, etc.) according to aviation standards.
• Create and verify certification and production documentation.
• Coordinate with project management, software, production technology and quality teams.

Required profile

• B.Tech./M.Tech. in Electrical, Electronics, Aerospace Engineering or a related field.
• 6‑8 years of experience in electronic product development.
• Familiarity with current electronic technologies, architectures, standards and market trends.
• Hands‑on experience with schematic capture tools and requirement‑management tools such as DOORS.
• Knowledge of RTCA DO‑254 certification and DO‑160 (or equivalent) qualification testing.
• Understanding of FPGA development lifecycle, source‑code design and test‑bench verification.
• Strong problem‑solving, logical thinking and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a global team environment.
