Associate Project Manager – AMI Operations

About the role

Bosch Global Software Technologies is seeking an Associate Project Manager to lead the Operations phase of Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) projects. You will ensure seamless delivery of Bosch’s AMI solutions within utility environments, coordinating across customers, vendors, and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day operations of AMI projects, including SAT execution.
• Coordinate with stakeholders such as customers, vendors, and partners.
• Report progress to the Program Manager and senior leadership.
• Oversee all operational deliverables and ensure timely execution.
• Conduct business process analysis, deployment planning, training development, and delivery activities.
• Develop deep expertise in utility industry standards and Bosch solutions.

Required profile

• B.Tech or MCA (or equivalent) required; project‑management or ITIL certifications are a plus.
• 8+ years of total IT experience, with at least 5 years in AMI or Smart Metering.
• Proven experience in AMI operations and integration across ecosystems.
• Ability to travel as needed.

Required skills

• DLMS/COSEM, Smart Metering standards IS16444, IS15959‑2/3.
• RF communication, Cellular technologies.
• AMI components: HES, MDM, WFM.
• Cloud and security concepts for smart meters.
• Software lifecycle, development and implementation.
• Databases: Oracle, MySQL.
• Application platforms: Java, XML.
• Networking: enterprise security, firewalls, TCP/IP.
• Operating systems: Linux, Windows.
• Knowledge of REC RDSS guidelines for AMI projects.
