Associate Partner – Indirect Tax (GST & Customs) – Bangalore

About the role

The Associate Partner will lead client engagements focused on GST and Customs compliance, providing end‑to‑end support for tax filings, reconciliations and advisory services. This role combines technical tax research with client relationship management to ensure timely and accurate tax compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Handle GST and Customs engagements, preparing returns, filing, and generating reports.
• Review client data, identify discrepancies, and request additional information as needed.
• Coordinate with client finance teams to secure approvals, payments and meet statutory deadlines.
• Maintain compliance calendars and support tax audits, assessments and special projects.
• Conduct detailed research on GST, Customs and related indirect‑tax matters, providing accurate technical inputs.
• Stay updated on legislative changes, notifications, circulars and judicial developments.
• Collaborate with client finance/tax teams to resolve compliance issues and escalate critical matters.
• Contribute to internal knowledge bases, share best practices and support business development initiatives.
