Associate Manager – Industrial Risk & Safety

About the role

We are looking for an Associate Manager to lead Occupational Safety, Risk mitigation and statutory compliance across our Turbhe and Taloja sites. The role drives the corporate “Zero error, Zero Harm” objective by developing, implementing and monitoring safety, health and industrial hygiene programs.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all occupational safety and risk mitigation activities, ensuring compliance with statutory norms (MPCB, PESO, DISH, FDA, NMMC, etc.).
• Design, roll out and monitor safety, health and industrial hygiene programs, including permit‑to‑work, PPE and contractor safety management.
• Conduct incident investigations, root‑cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Collaborate with production and engineering to identify risks, prioritize them and develop short‑ and long‑term mitigation plans.
• Maintain site licenses, submit periodic regulatory reports and host inspections by licensing authorities.
• Lead safety audits, safety talks, pre‑job briefings and supervise the contractor safety supervisor team.
• Provide safety expertise for procurement decisions and support training and awareness initiatives for employees and contractors.

Required profile

• Proven experience in occupational safety, industrial risk management or related field within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of Indian statutory safety regulations and corporate safety standards.
• Ability to work independently, lead cross‑functional teams and communicate effectively with site stakeholders.
