Associate Executive

About the role

Apex Group, a fund administration and middle office solutions provider founded in Bermuda in 2003, is hiring an Associate Executive. The role covers accounting, tax, statutory filings, document certification and client service, with a focus on accuracy, timeliness and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain proper records in line with internal and legal requirements.
• Convene meetings of directors and shareholders, prepare Board papers and verify minutes drafted by team members.
• Prepare accounts and tax computations, liaise with auditors and ensure final deliverables are accurate and complete.
• Develop a full understanding of each client's requirements.
• Complete and follow up certification, notarisation, apostille and consularisation of documents on time.
• Maintain bank accounts, open new ones, initiate transfers and liaise with the bank.
• Deliver high-quality accounts in statutory format with all applicable disclosures.
• Prepare and file annual returns, APS returns, PAYE, TDS, VAT and Indian tax returns by statutory due dates.
• Handle tax queries from the MRA, clients and other authorities, and effect statutory filings with the FSC, ROC and other bodies.
• Carry out customer due diligence under the AML Code and keep an updated CDD list for all companies.
• Coordinate team members and monitor day-to-day tasks to completion.

Required profile

• 2 years of experience in the global business sector or an audit firm is an advantage.
• Degree, or substantially completed ACA or ACCA qualification or equivalent.
• Client service mindset, good written and spoken communication, and ability to multi-task and prioritise.
• Well organised, goal-oriented, able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel).
• Organizational and interpersonal skills; quick learner who adapts to different environments.
