Associate Analyst - Vulnerability Management

About the role

Join Airbus India as an Associate Analyst in Vulnerability Management, supporting the security of enterprise assets across servers, endpoints, databases and cloud environments. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on experience with industry‑leading scanning tools and collaboration with cross‑functional technical teams.

Key responsibilities

• Operate vulnerability scanning platforms such as Tenable and Qualys to discover security gaps.
• Analyse scan results using the CVSS framework and real‑time threat intelligence to prioritize risks.
• Coordinate remediation efforts with system administrators, network engineers and application owners, ensuring SLA compliance.
• Assist in maintaining complete asset visibility, identifying unmanaged devices and shadow IT.
• Generate performance dashboards and reports on risk trends, MTTR and overall security posture.
• Contribute to process improvements, including scanning schedule optimisation and automation scripts in Python or PowerShell.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology or a related field.
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls) and operating systems (Windows, Linux/Unix).
• Familiarity with common vulnerabilities (OWASP Top 10) and CVE/CVSS rating systems.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to investigate technical issues and propose solutions.
• Effective communication skills to translate security findings into actionable advice for non‑technical stakeholders.
