Associate AI Engineer – Data, Analytics & AI

About the role

PwC is looking for a hands‑on AI Engineer to design, build and support production‑grade AI applications powered by large language models and agentic workflows. You will work within the Advisory practice, collaborating with product, platform, MLOps, security and compliance teams to deliver secure, scalable AI features for enterprise clients.

Key responsibilities

• Develop AI‑driven features using LLMs, agentic workflows and orchestration platforms.
• Integrate AI services through Azure AI Gateway patterns, handling routing, authentication and policy controls.
• Design Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions with vector embeddings, Azure AI Search, Redis and Cosmos DB.
• Deploy scalable applications on Azure Functions, Azure Container Apps and other cloud‑native services.
• Implement production‑readiness practices: testing, observability, monitoring, safety guardrails and incident support.

Required profile

• 4–7 years of experience in AI/ML engineering and backend development.
• Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Engineering or related field (MBA preferred).
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills to work across multidisciplinary teams.

Required skills

• Python programming (core).
• Java or Node.js for backend services.
• Azure Cloud services: Functions, Container Apps, AI Search, Cosmos DB.
• LLM integration, prompt engineering, versioning and context handling.
• Agentic AI, A2A frameworks, MCP Protocol, tool/function calling.
• LangChain, LangGraph for workflow orchestration.
• Vector embeddings, Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG).
• CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, MLOps practices.
• Familiarity with AWS services (optional).
