Assistant/Deputy Manager – Medical Officer (Occupational Health)

About the role

Bosch Group is seeking an experienced medical professional to lead occupational health initiatives for its manufacturing facilities in Pune. The role combines strategic planning, preventive health care, and emergency response to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, propose and implement improvements to health‑care delivery, including the Bosch Hospitalization Scheme.
• Monitor occupational health KPIs, identify trends and recommend corrective actions.
• Investigate and report outbreaks of infectious or notifiable diseases as required by the Factories Act.
• Deliver training programs on first aid, emergency care, basic cardiac life support, mental health and hygiene.
• Coordinate with hospitals, negotiate terms and manage employee hospitalisation reimbursements.
• Conduct risk assessments for occupational health and industrial hygiene hazards within the plant.
• Provide first‑aid treatment and emergency medical support to employees on site.

Required profile

• MBBS degree with AFIH certification.
• 10‑12 years of post‑MBBS professional experience.
• Preferably 5 years of experience in large industrial or manufacturing settings.
• Strong interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.

Required skills

• Expert knowledge of occupational health assessment and seasonal health issues.
• Proficiency in risk assessment of industrial hygiene hazards.
• Capability to administer emergency medicines and provide first‑aid treatment.
• Experience in negotiating with hospitals and managing health‑care schemes.
