Assistant Vice-President, Real Estate Valuation

About the role

Deutsche Bank's Credit Risk Management - Real Estate Valuation (CRM-REV) unit handles the specification, procurement and review of third-party real estate appraisal reports for its US real estate-related business. It is looking for an Assistant Vice-President to join its CRE India hub in Mumbai. The role supports the bank's real estate valuation business in a credit-risk-oriented, consulting and analytical capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Procure and review complex real estate appraisals
• Provide real estate valuation consulting
• Manage third-party appraisal vendors
• Review portfolio positions
• Adhere to regulatory and policy compliance protocols

Required profile

• Experience reviewing complex real estate appraisal reports and portfolio reviews; real estate consulting experience is a plus
• Knowledge of USPAP, FIRREA, IFRS, RICS Red Book and regulatory and policy compliance protocols
• RERA licence under applicable valuation rules
• Member or advanced professional of the Appraisal Institute (MAI), the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or the Appraisal Institute of India (AII)
• In-depth knowledge of multiple property types and multiple US markets
• Ability to work independently under time pressure and handle several reviews at once
