Financial Analyst - Corporate Bank Business Finance

About the role

This is a Business Finance role within the Corporate Bank franchise, based in Mumbai. It covers all divisional finance topics and faces off against FD/FMs and business managers across hub locations. The incumbent handles month-end ledger close, journal postings, P&L reporting, revenue flash and actuals, balance sheet substantiation and financial disclosures.

Key responsibilities

• Produce, validate and report daily P&L, including attribution, and month-end financial statements with substantiation and disclosures, in line with internal policies and external regulatory, statutory and control frameworks.
• Prepare revenue flash reports, monitor and explain variances versus prior trends and actuals during ledger close.
• Engage with business managers across regions and businesses to give detailed, driver-based explanations of movements, covering cyclical and episodic events.
• Manage FX exposure management, financial disclosures and balance sheet substantiation.
• Handle SOX control sign-offs, including analytical review, financial adjustment reviews and book completeness.
• Manage audit requirements.

Required profile

• Qualified finance professional with a CA or MBA in Finance.
• At least 2 years of work experience in a bank or financial institution in finance functions.
• Experience dealing with business heads and managing regulators and auditors.
• Ability to work in a diverse, cross-cultural team.
