Assistant Sales Manager

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Sales Manager to drive sales of our mechanical seal and rotary equipment portfolio across key Indian markets. The role focuses on expanding customer coverage in sectors such as chemicals, oil & gas, refineries, petrochemicals, pharma and fertilizers.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and cover end‑user customers in the assigned region, generating enquiries and converting RFQs into orders.
• Present product features, benefits and advantages to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Make cold calls, acquire new customers and nurture existing relationships.
• Travel extensively to meet customers, conduct product demonstrations and follow up on pre‑ and post‑order activities.
• Monitor competitor strategies and provide market intelligence.
• Understand customer applications, propose suitable solutions and promote substitute products.
• Manage account receivables, prepare monthly collection plans and ensure timely submission of offers.

Required profile

• Strong customer orientation with the ability to generate and qualify leads.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel frequently across the assigned geography.
• Commercial awareness of order processing, credit management and market trends.

Required skills

• Knowledge of mechanical seals, pumps, compressors, agitators and actuators.
• Familiarity with the chemicals, oil & gas, refinery, petrochemical and pharmaceutical sectors.
