Assistant Manager – Tax Specialist

About the role

Policybazaar.com is seeking an Assistant Manager – Tax Specialist to join its finance team in Gurugram. The role focuses on managing direct tax compliance, filings and assessments for the organization, ensuring adherence to Indian tax regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Handle all withholding tax compliances.
• Prepare and review income tax returns and other direct tax filings.
• Manage assessments and CIT appeals, including preparation and review of notices.
• Coordinate tax audits and respond to income tax notices.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders and external consultants on tax matters.
• Support basic transfer pricing and benchmarking activities.
• Perform 26AS reconciliations and drive process automation initiatives.
• Ensure ongoing compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations.

Required profile

• Qualified Chartered Accountant with at least 2 years of direct tax experience, or semi‑qualified CA with 5+ years of experience.
• Strong understanding of Indian income tax laws and compliance requirements.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with cross‑functional teams.
