Assistant Manager / Senior Engineer – FLM Tool Enhancement

About the role

Bosch Group is seeking an Assistant Manager / Senior Engineer to lead the FLM Tool Enhancement Center in Nashik. The role focuses on developing and refining cutting‑tool geometries, driving process improvements, and ensuring high‑quality standards across manufacturing operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, innovate and optimise new cutting‑tool geometries or improve existing ones to boost operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to conduct trials, evaluate performance and document release procedures for new tools.
• Maintain a zero‑non‑conformance rate by implementing rigorous quality‑control measures and audit standards.
• Manage IATF16949, PS/QMM, EHS and OSHA audits as the auditee and close all observations within defined timelines.
• Engage with OEM cutting‑tool manufacturers, attend exhibitions and seminars, and apply best practices to achieve shop‑floor KPIs.
• Allocate jobs, supervise manpower and optimise in‑house resource utilisation, incorporating SCIP and BCA suggestions for employee involvement.
• Handle internal customer complaints and lead continuous improvement initiatives on the shop floor.

Required profile

• BE / B.Tech in Mechanical or Production Engineering.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in cutting‑tool technology or related manufacturing processes.
• Strong knowledge of engineering drawings, statistical process control, machine and process capability, GD&T and MSA.
• Familiarity with CNC programming and audit management (IATF16949, EHS/OSHA).
