Assistant Manager – Risk Containment (Payments)

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Risk Containment Unit will lead the risk and fraud management function for the Payments business of Bajaj Finance Limited. You will oversee the full lifecycle of risk, from onboarding checks to transaction monitoring, ensuring merchants are vetted and monitored effectively.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end risk and fraud management for the Acquiring QR payments portfolio.
• Conduct onboarding risk assessments, transaction monitoring and portfolio reviews.
• Review daily risk‑triggered cases, verify business data, and take timely actions such as merchant deactivation or reactivation.
• Maintain and update risk management systems with actions taken and prepare daily, weekly and monthly trend reports.
• Collaborate closely with business, operations and data teams to improve processes and implement fraud controls.

Required profile

• Graduate or post‑graduate degree.
• 1‑2 years of experience in NBFC or bank environments, preferably in calling, document verification or payment risk.
• Good understanding of payment business operations.
