Assistant Manager - Reservations

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Reservations will lead the reservations sales team at our hotel in Goa, driving revenue through proactive selling and exceptional customer service. This full‑time position reports to senior management and focuses on maximizing room occupancy and guest loyalty.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new reservation sales opportunities to meet personal and property revenue targets.
• Train, coach and assign work to reservations sales staff, ensuring high performance and adherence to standards.
• Negotiate contracts, manage group reservation forecasts and coordinate with sales and convention services.
• Monitor same‑day selling, manage wait‑lists, track no‑shows and process related charges.
• Generate proposals, write contracts and maintain accurate reservation records in tracking systems.
• Deliver outstanding customer service throughout the booking process to build loyalty and increase account share.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED (no experience required) OR a 2‑year degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel & Restaurant Management, or related field.
• Up to 2 years of experience in sales, marketing, guest services, front desk, or a similar hospitality role.
• Strong understanding of market dynamics, competitor analysis and revenue management principles.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
