Assistant Manager – Maintenance (Mysore)

About the role

SKF is seeking an Assistant Manager – Maintenance to lead the upkeep of production equipment at its Mysore plant. The role focuses on ensuring high productivity, minimal downtime, and cost‑effective operations through preventive, predictive, and automated maintenance strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance schedules for molding machines, PLCs, HMI panels, robotics and vision systems.
• Lead a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring compliance with safety, quality and SKF global standards.
• Diagnose technical issues, coordinate repairs, and track KPIs such as MTTR and MTBF.
• Drive automation initiatives and implement lean, reliability‑centered maintenance practices.
• Provide training to maintenance staff and ensure continuous improvement of equipment performance.

Required profile

• Proven experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and develop technical teams.
• Solid understanding of safety and quality compliance in an engineering setting.
