About the role

The Assistant Manager – Front Desk supports the Front Office Manager in overseeing daily shift operations at JW Marriott Hotel Pune. This entry‑level management position ensures smooth guest interactions, staff coordination, and achievement of budgetary targets across the Bell Desk, Switchboard, and Front Desk areas.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coach the Front Desk team, handling duties in the manager’s absence.
• Monitor daily operations to maintain service quality, standards, and guest satisfaction.
• Resolve guest complaints, disputes, and grievances promptly.
• Supervise staffing levels, training on credit policies, and same‑day selling procedures to maximize room revenue.
• Track progress toward front‑office goals and communicate performance expectations.
• Assist with financial and administrative tasks, ensuring alignment with overall property financial objectives.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 2 years of guest‑services or front‑desk experience, **or** a 2‑year degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, honesty, integrity, and the ability to lead by example.
• Ability to coach, counsel, and support staff, and to handle operational challenges independently.
