Assistant Manager – Financial Planning & Analysis

About the role

We are looking for an Assistant Manager to join our finance team, supporting senior leadership with financial planning, analysis and reporting. The role will involve cost‑benefit analysis, budgeting, forecasting and providing actionable insights to drive business performance.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct cost‑benefit analysis for key initiatives.
• Prepare budgets, financial forecasts and operating plans.
• Track performance indicators, highlight trends and analyse unexpected variances.
• Partner with business units to provide financial analysis and tracking.
• Disseminate financial information for decision‑making and control.
• Provide timely financial recommendations to management.
• Support senior management and department heads with in‑depth financial analysis against budgets.
• Identify cost‑control opportunities and recommend improvements.
• Produce MIS reports, quarterly and monthly financial statements, and capital expenditure analyses.
• Present variance analysis and assess foreign‑exchange impacts.
• Compute accurate rate cards, margins and analyse pricing inputs.
• Collaborate with client leadership on ad‑hoc projects and reports.
• Manage time and expectations across multiple tasks.

Required profile

• 4‑6 years of operational experience in FP&A, general accounting or controllership.
• Strong accounting knowledge and ability to document processes.
• Graduate or master’s degree in commerce (e.g., CA‑Inter, BBM, BCom, MBA, MCom).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Self‑starter, detail‑oriented and able to meet deadlines under pressure.
• Proven ability to prioritize multiple activities and work effectively in a team.
• Commitment and drive for results, with a willingness to question established processes for improvement.
• Open to working all shifts.
