Assistant Manager – Engineering

About the role

The St. Regis Goa Resort is seeking an Assistant Manager – Engineering to support the daily operation and maintenance of its physical plant. You will work closely with senior engineering staff to ensure safety, security, and asset protection across the resort’s facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in managing engineering and maintenance operations, including HVAC‑R, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, and water‑treatment systems.
• Support budget control, capital‑expenditure projects, and preventative‑maintenance planning.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards, and oversee energy‑conservation initiatives.
• Coordinate service contracts, issue work orders, and monitor completion quality and timeliness.
• Help supervise grounds, guest rooms, public areas, restaurants, vehicles, and recreational facilities.
• Participate in emergency‑response activities and fire‑safety procedures.
• Conduct regular inspections of buildings, equipment, and guest spaces to maintain high standards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 2 years of engineering/maintenance experience, **or** a 2‑year degree in Building & Construction, Engineering, Mechanics, or related field.
• Technical training in HVAC‑R, electrical, or plumbing systems is preferred.
