About the role
The Assistant Manager – Controlling will lead controlling and reporting activities for SKF’s Lubrication India manufacturing unit, acting as a bridge between finance and operations to support financial planning, analysis and decision‑making.
Key responsibilities
- Manage day‑to‑day controlling and reporting for all manufacturing activities in line with India and SKF Group requirements.
- Partner with engineering, industrial engineering, logistics and operations teams to provide financial insights and recommendations.
- Perform operating profit analysis, including material cost variance, fixed and variable cost analysis.
- Update annual standard costs in the PC tool, analyse deviations and report findings.
- Assess capital investment proposals by evaluating financial viability, ROI, payback period and alignment with the business plan.
- Track expenditure against approved IRE and monitor inventory for optimisation, including analysis of slow‑moving and obsolete stock.
Required profile
- CA, CA‑Inter, ICWA or CMA qualification.
- 4‑8 years of post‑qualification experience in financial planning and global reporting.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
Required skills
- Advanced MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
- SAP ERP – FICO module.
- Power BI for data visualisation.
