Area Sales Manager - Endo Surgery (Local Country Hire)

About the role

Meril Life Sciences, a global medical device company founded in 2006 and headquartered in India, is hiring an Area Sales Manager for its Endo Surgery portfolio. This is a local country hire reporting to the Business Head / Country Manager of Endo Surgery. The role drives local sales execution, market penetration and surgeon adoption by managing day-to-day sales, building hospital and distributor relationships and ensuring on-ground execution aligned with country business goals.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve assigned territory and country sales targets, drive product adoption through direct hospital coverage and distributor coordination, and support institutional sales, tenders and large accounts
• Build relationships with surgeons, OT staff, KOLs, hospital procurement teams and distributors; conduct hospital visits, case support and product demonstrations
• Work with distributors on coverage, secondary sales and inventory, train them on product knowledge, selling skills and compliance, and monitor competitors and pricing
• Support new product launches, clinical workshops and in-OT case support, coordinating with Marketing and Clinical teams on demos, trials and surgeon engagement
• Maintain sales forecasts, pipeline reports and market feedback, follow sales processes and compliance guidelines, and support collections, billing and inventory hygiene

Required profile

• 5-10 years of experience in medical devices, surgical or healthcare sales
• Hands-on exposure to Endo Surgery, laparoscopic or medical capital products preferred
• Experience working with surgeons and hospital stakeholders
• Graduate in Medical, Science, Biomedical, Sales or a related discipline
• Relevant certifications or training in medical devices preferred
