Area Manager – Emerging East

About the role
The Area Manager for the Emerging East region will lead the development and execution of sales strategies to grow market share and drive profitable growth. You will work closely with Branch Managers, advisors and cross‑functional teams to ensure high performance and compliance.
Key responsibilities
- Assist and guide Branch Managers in recruiting and onboarding frontline sales force.
- Implement aggressive distribution creation strategies to achieve targeted market penetration.
- Monitor budgeted capacity versus actual headcount and adjust recruitment plans accordingly.
- Set individual sales goals for month, quarter and year and track performance.
- Analyze branch performance, devise sales strategies and deploy focus to boost sales.
- Conduct periodic reviews of business levers, take corrective actions and ensure adherence to sales processes.
- Identify training needs, coordinate with training teams and ensure timely development of advisors and managers.
- Maintain relationships with top performers, mentor sales forces and drive high premium mix and profitability.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines, implement quality controls and address any malpractice.
- Gather market intelligence, develop strategies for untapped areas and enhance brand awareness.
Required profile
- Proven experience managing sales teams and achieving market penetration targets.
- Strong analytical skills to assess performance data and drive strategic decisions.
- Excellent leadership and coaching abilities to develop advisors and managers.
- Good understanding of compliance, regulatory standards and risk management.
- Ability to collaborate with multiple departments such as training, underwriting, HR and finance.
