About the role
The Area Manager – Direct Sales will lead the expansion of Aditya Birla Health Insurance’s footprint in Lucknow, focusing on SME and startup segments. You will be responsible for designing and executing sales strategies that capture new business while strengthening relationships with existing channel partners.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement direct‑sales plans to increase market share in the health‑insurance segment.
- Identify and target high‑potential SME and startup customers with tailored insurance solutions.
- Build, nurture, and expand a network of channel partners to extend reach across the region.
- Collaborate with product and wellness teams to promote incentivised wellness programs and chronic‑care management offerings.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes to adapt sales tactics.
- Achieve revenue targets and report performance metrics to senior leadership.
Required profile
- Proven experience in direct sales, preferably within health insurance or related financial services.
- Strong understanding of the SME and startup ecosystem in India.
- Demonstrated ability to develop customized solutions for diverse client segments.
- Excellent relationship‑building and negotiation skills.
- Leadership capability to drive a sales team and influence channel partners.
