Apprentice – In‑Service Engineering (Airframe Structures)

About the role

Join Airbus India’s In‑Service Engineering department in Bangalore as an Apprentice focused on airframe repair design and analysis. This 12‑month program offers fresh graduates a hands‑on experience at the heart of a global aerospace leader, working on real customer damage reports and developing approved repair solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse damage reports received from Airbus customers.
• Propose repair designs and perform related stress, fatigue and damage‑tolerance calculations.
• Prepare approval reports and support the certification approval process.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and follow guidance from an assigned tutor.

Required profile

• Fresh graduate (B.Tech/M.Tech) in Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering.
• No prior full‑time professional experience; internships and academic projects are acceptable.
• Commitment to complete the full 12‑month apprenticeship.
• Fluent English communication skills.

Required skills

• Aircraft structures design (drafting, GD&T).
• Strength of materials and structural analysis.
• Fracture mechanics and fatigue analysis.
• Stress calculation methods (static, fatigue, damage tolerance).
