Application Engineer – General Software Development

About the role

You will lead the design, development, and implementation of critical web and data integration solutions that connect Salesforce with Google’s internal and third‑party platforms. Working within a cross‑functional team, you will build secure, scalable, and AI‑enhanced integrations that support complex business use cases for Google Enterprise for Government.

Key responsibilities

• Build and scale high‑performance data pipelines linking Salesforce with Google’s broader software ecosystem.
• Implement next‑gen AI‑driven and agentic integrations, ensuring security, reliability, and privacy compliance.
• Collaborate with Security Engineering, Privacy, and business system owners to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Manage assigned tasks, prioritize work, and contribute to project milestones under regular supervision.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and escalate technical challenges encountered during integration development.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience designing and integrating internal and third‑party applications.
• Hands‑on programming experience in Java, Python, or C++.
• Experience driving engineering and architecture strategies on cloud platforms.
• Strong customer empathy, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
