About the role

Fujitsu AI Lab is seeking an AI Researcher to lead cutting‑edge research that aligns with the company’s AI strategy. The role will directly influence product innovation, drive scientific discovery, and contribute to high‑impact publications and intellectual property.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute groundbreaking AI research projects across generative AI, cognitive AI, graph ML, and multi‑modal data.
• Translate research outcomes into product features and differentiate Fujitsu’s AI portfolio in the market.
• Publish findings in top‑tier conferences and journals, and secure patents for novel technologies.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to apply AI models to real‑world use cases in finance, telecom, manufacturing, healthcare, and infrastructure.

Required profile

• Deep theoretical and practical expertise in AI/ML, including statistical learning theory and AI agents.
• Strong publication record in conferences such as ICML, NeurIPS, CVPR, or similar.
• Experience applying AI models or agentic systems to real‑world problems is highly desirable.
• Ability to rapidly prototype, test, and optimize advanced AI algorithms.

Required skills

• Advanced AI/ML programming and familiarity with major AI libraries and platforms.
• Expertise in attention mechanisms, transformers, state‑space models, and generative AI (LLMs).
• Knowledge of explainable AI, causal reasoning, knowledge representation, and graph AI.
• Understanding of AI agents and multi‑agent systems.
